Good insight - thank you. I think the Irish article sets it out well when it says it's going to be the customers' choice as to how they pay. In the same way that organisations accept credit & debit cards, because turning them away is bad for business, I find it hard to imagine many (any?) businesses turning away a customer with cash in their hand. The challenge is making it as simple, secure and efficient as possible.
